We read the story If you give a cat a cupcake by Laura Numeroff because it is a silly story and has words that start with our letter of the week... letter C! :) After enjoying the story we made our own cupcakes and (with Mrs. King's help) wrote what we thought a cat would want after getting a cupcake. This project allowed us to practice our name writing, cutting, fine motor coloring skills, painting skills, and practice following more than one step directions to complete a task. It is a lot of skills being practiced for just a cupcake art project!! Below are pictures of us working on our cupcakes. We even used a special paint (Sweetened Condensed Milk) which makes our cupcake frosting VERY shiny when it dries!!!
